The Architects of Human Flourishing
At the heart of our mission is a profound belief that support coordination is an act of collaborative design. We do not operate in isolation, nor do we manage from afar; instead, we stand in locked-step partnership with the people we support, self-advocates, and the vibrant communities where we all work and live. Together, we move beyond the limitations of rigid, machine-age systems to build environments where choice, dignity, and authentic belonging can thrive. In this shared space, the Support Coordinator serves as an architect of human flourishing—weaving together individual aspirations, collective advocacy, and community resources to design a future where every person can truly prosper
The Emerging Leader Membership tier is designed for individuals currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program in social work, human services, disability studies, psychology, special education, or a closely related field
The Ally Membership is designed for professionals who work in direct partnership with, or in support of, support coordinators — but who are not themselves actively practicing support coordination under a CMS HCBS waiver program.
The Practioner Membership designation is NASC's flagship membership category and its primary voting constituency. It is open to any individual actively practicing support coordination under a CMS Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver program
The Enterprise Partner is for support coordination organizations that are either standalone agencies, part of larger public health or social service organizations, or state or local programs/Departments that employ support coordinators.
The Champion Membership tier is NASC's highest-investment organizational membership, designed for entities that elect an elevated level of financial and institutional commitment to NASC's mission and the long-term development of support coordination as a profession.
The Luminary tier is a lifetime designation conferred by the NASC Board of Directors upon individuals who have made extraordinary, sustained contributions to the advancement of support coordination as a profession, the rights and quality of life of individuals with IDD, or disability rights and advocacy more broadly
The National Association of Support Coordinators (NASC) is the professional home for those dedicated to advancing the field of support coordination through human-centered excellence and Systems-Age Thinking. We believe that true systemic transformation cannot happen in isolation. By uniting under a shared professional identity, NASC members cultivate a vibrant community of practice—collaborating to dismantle traditional, machine-age compliance barriers and advancing toward a common Horizon. Together, our collective Posture ensures that we stand as a powerful, unified voice for the individuals we serve, grounding our daily work in sustained presence, relational practice, and reciprocal dignity.
